Android Oreo update is available for OnePlus 3 and 3T. Of course, this is the first public beta and is therefore only reserved to users subscribed to the tester program.
The upgraded rollout for the much-anticipated Android Oreo came on Oxygen OS build 16- enabled devices, ROM that accompanies all of the OnePlus smartphones. Size of this of this update is about 870MB.
As mentioned earlier, not all owners of OnePlus 3 and 3T can preview the new operating system on their device. You must have enrolled in the beta tester program. The build is just a beta, and the purpose of the distribution is to detect the operating system malfunction (bug, lag, battery drain, incompatibility, etc.). In fact, the first problems have already been reported.
It seems that OnePlus 3 and 3T, equipped with Oxygen OS version 16, have several malfunctions:
NFC and Bluetooth unstable
Improper fingerprint reader
Incompatibility with some third-party applications not yet specified;
Bug in Google Photo
This update is the very first beta of a new operating system. It should be noted that Oxygen OS is not a stock ROM but personalized. As a result, the “pure” Oreo Android adds the proprietary user interface and the various additional features.
OnePlus said it had planned a new update, which should solve some of the issues that have been detected, as early as next week.
